Through this partnership, COTU NIL will bring our basketball community together to support the Sportable Mission — to create opportunities and transform the lives of individuals with physical disabilities, visual impairments, and those requiring physical accommodations through sport, recreation, health, and wellness.
Our goal is to connect the brand ambassadors and their experienced basketball minds with young athletes in the wheelchair basketball community. Whether that means helping with practices, sharing knowledge and experiences, mentoring young athletes, or simply creating more opportunities to learn and enjoy the game, we want to use the basketball community we have built to help further the work Sportable is already doing. This starts now with aiding at the Sportable Youth Academy Fall practices.
But we see this as just the beginning.
As our partnership grows, we hope to work together on fundraising efforts, collaborative basketball camps, and clinics that bring even more people into the game. We want to create opportunities where athletes of all abilities can learn from one another, compete together, and experience everything basketball has to offer.
This partnership is ultimately about bringing basketball people together around something bigger than the game itself.
